Can you answer Roger S’s question about Displays?:

I’d like to wear a black belt and black Doc Martens for comfort and avoid getting some new brown shoes.
Thanks everyone! Juki - I pushed back on it and got the affirmative ‘Brown’ so I just picked some up since my Keens are too casual.

Is there a way to build a display case that only shows what is inside when you flick a switch?

Can you answer Alex J’s question about Displays?:

I want to build a display case that when the light inside is off you cannot see what is in there. I am going off the inverted concept of tinted glass where you cannot see what is inside if there is a light on the outside. I think if I put tinted glass on the outside with the tinted part facing the outside of the case, and I put a small light on the inside, you will only be able to see what is inside that case if the light is flicked on, otherwise it is dark. is this possible?

A Perfect Pen Display Box to the Person You are Gifting

A collector of art, stamps, coins etc, will do everything possible to protect his collection for the times to come so as to cherish it later. Same theory will apply to a collector having a precious collection of pens. He would intend to protect them from any damage to preserve their patina and class. For this reason manufacturers around the world are creating exquisite pieces of pen display case and pen display boxes. A pen display case serves the purpose of exhibition as well as protection of the pens. They have glass top whereas the inside of the case contains suede.

Usually the pen display case and a pen display box are made of wood or leather. Depending upon your preference you can opt for either of these. While a leather pen display case or box imparts a warm look, the wooden ones give a classic look. A leather pen display case will be more expensive than its wooden counterpart of the same size. This is because genuine leather is used in making these cases.

The wood used in creating the pen display cases is maple, mahogany or rosewood. The display boxes are hand-crafted by workmen and then hand polished. After polishing, a glossy shine can be seen on the surface. Each and every detail ranging from the edges to the hinges is well covered. Once the pen display box is made, the interiors are lined with anti-tarnish velvet.

A pen display box will put your best pens on a display permanently wherever you place it – at home, office or your desk. A pen display case can hold a single pen or it can hold more than hundred pens. People who have a large and valuable collection have to protect it from thefts. They would appreciate if their collection is traced. How to achieve that feature? The manufacturers provide you with a lock and key so that you solely have the access to the pens.

However, in case of theft, the story takes a new twist. Some manufacturers have dealt with this problem very cleverly. Considering the fact that pen collectors hate to see computers, a unit comprising of pens and computer is truly ironical. However, installing software in the pen display box for protecting against unhealthy events is appreciated by one and all. This software keeps the track of pens and their value.

There are certain executives who like to carry their collection along with them on long journeys. Keeping this in mind various pen display boxes can be seen, which are small enough to slide in the briefcases or bags. The pens can be put in the channels and are prevented from turning over. A leather pen display case is made out of wooden frames. Leather is glued to the exterior once the frame is set. Only fine leather is used which lasts a lifetime.

People who have taste for classy items and want to preserve them will always opt for something classy and stylish. Even your precious pens are worthy of durable and refined homes. Therefore it is better to invest in something which will shield your pens forever.
